Tag Your Orders

Add your own tags to orders, see them in the orders list, and filter, sort and automate by them.

Tags let you mark orders your way, like Gift, Rush or Wholesale, and act on them later.

  • Make your own tags, in Settings, with a name, an icon and, if you need one, a value such as a PO number.
  • Tag an order in a click, from the order details or the order editor. Tags your store sends in are kept as they are.
  • See and sort by tags, each tag can have its own column in the orders list.
  • Filter by tags, and save the search, so every gift order is one click away.
  • Let automations do it, automations can add or remove a tag, or run when a tag changes.
  • Tags from your imports, CSV and webhook imports can fill in your tags.
New feature

Bring Your Team into Postsale

Invite people by email, give each their own login, and choose what each person can see and do.

Your team no longer has to share one login. From the Grow plan up, you can invite people to your Postsale account.

  • Invite by email, from Account > Users. Each person signs in with their own login.
  • Choose what they can do, start someone as a Manager, Shipper, Read-only or Dashboard user, or pick each permission yourself.
  • Limit what they see, show a person only the orders that match conditions you set, such as one store.
  • The important settings stay with you, billing, store and carrier connections, templates, automations and adding or removing people stay with the account owner.
  • See who did what, each person's changes show under their name in your audit log.
  • Team size by plan, Grow includes up to 5 people, Expand 10, Thrive 20 and Soar 50, you included.

Choose Which Carriers Rate a Shipment

Pick the carriers allowed to quote a shipment in the Dock or with a shipping rule, and see which account each rate comes from.

Some orders should only go one way. Now you can say so.

  • Eligible Carriers in the Dock, pick which carriers can quote a shipment, for one shipment or many at once.
  • Set it with a rule, shipping rules can choose the eligible carriers for you, along with other shipment details.
  • See where each rate comes from, every rate shows the carrier account it comes from, so you know which account you are buying on.

Mark Hazardous Materials on Many Shipments at Once

Select several USPS shipments in the Dock and set hazardous materials for all of them in one step.

Shipping batteries, perfume or other hazardous items in bulk? Select the USPS shipments in the Dock and set hazardous materials for all of them at once, instead of opening each one.

Connect Shopify from the Shopify App Store

Add your Shopify store by installing Postsale from the Shopify App Store, with your plan billed through Shopify.

Connecting Shopify is now an install, not a setup project. There's no store URL or access token to copy.

  • Install from the App Store, in Postsale go to Store Settings, choose Shopify and click View on the Shopify App Store. Install, and Shopify brings you back to finish setup.
  • Choose what to bring in, pick whether to import the orders you already have, up to 7 days back. It now starts unchecked for every store.
  • Billed through Shopify, your Postsale plan goes on your Shopify invoice, and the days left in your trial carry over. Labels, postage and insurance are still billed by Postsale.

Your Own Branded Tracking Page

Tracking links in your shipment emails can now open a tracking page with your store's name and logo.

When a customer taps Track your order, they can land on a page that looks like your store, not the carrier's.

  • Turn it on per store, in Store Settings under Branded Tracking.
  • Start from a template, pick the Branded Tracking Page template, in a standard or wide layout, and add your logo.
  • Old links still work, tracking links already sitting in your customers' inboxes keep working.

Print a Test Label Before You Buy One

Tick Test label on a USPS shipment to print a watermarked practice label that is never billed.

Checking a new printer, a label template or a packing station used to mean buying a real label to see what came out. A shipment's Package section now has a Test label checkbox. Tick it and the label prints with a watermark, nothing is charged and the shipment stays marked as a test.

  • Nothing to pay, a test label is never billed, so you can print as many as it takes to get the setup right.
  • Clearly a test, the label carries a watermark and the shipment is flagged, so a practice label cannot be mistaken for a real one.
  • USPS today, test labels are available on USPS shipments. On carriers that do not support them yet, Postsale refuses the purchase rather than quietly charging you for a real label.
Improvement

See the Label Before You Print It

The label template picker now renders a real preview of each template, so you pick by looking rather than by name.

Choosing a label template used to mean picking a name off a list and finding out what it looked like after printing. The picker now renders each template with sample shipment data, so you can see the layout, the fonts and where your branding lands before anything reaches the printer.

  • Rendered previews, each template is drawn with realistic sample data instead of being listed by name alone.
  • Compare side by side, move through the list and the preview pane keeps up, so picking between two similar layouts takes one look.
  • Fewer wasted labels, the wrong template gets caught on screen rather than on stock.

API Keys and the Developer Reference

Create scoped API keys in Postsale and call the Shipment and Order APIs from your own systems.

You can now issue your own API keys from Settings and call Postsale directly from your own systems. Every key is scoped: you choose exactly what it can reach before it exists, and you can narrow or widen it later without reissuing.

  • Pick what each key can do, permissions are grouped by what they touch, shipments, labels, carriers, pickups, manifests, addresses, shipping rules, documents, orders, stores and reports, each with a plain description of what granting it allows.
  • Consequences are called out, permissions that spend money, send a courier, disconnect a carrier or delete something permanently say so where you choose them.
  • See what a key actually did, the activity list shows each request a key made, its outcome and the response it got, so you can tell a rejected key from a wrong URL.
  • Rotate, narrow or switch a key off, keys can be edited and disabled from the same screen, without touching the rest of your integration.
  • A reference that already knows your key, the full API reference lives at developer.postsale.com, and a freshly created key can be handed straight to it so sample requests run as you.
Improvement

End of Day, Rebuilt

Close-outs, scheduled pickups and history are now separated so each carrier's day-end state is easier to read.

End of Day has been reorganized around what you actually need to know at the end of a shipping day: what has been closed out, what is scheduled for collection and what happened previously.

  • Close-out summary per carrier, each connected carrier shows its own day-end state instead of sharing one combined view.
  • Scheduled pickups in their own list, booked collections are visible at a glance, and cancelling one is a direct action rather than a hunt.
  • Readable history, past close-outs and manifests are grouped into records you can scan.
Improvement

Integrations Settings, Rebuilt as Tiles

Every connection you can make from Postsale now lives on one page as a tile that shows its current state.

The integrations area in Settings has been rebuilt. Each connection is now a tile that tells you where it stands before you open it, and the ones your plan does not include say so rather than failing when you try.

  • One page for every connection, API keys, webhook subscriptions, the MCP server, SendGrid and SMTP now sit side by side.
  • State on the tile, a connection shows whether it is set up, needs attention or is not included in your plan without being opened.
  • Clearer email setup, the SendGrid and SMTP screens were rewritten so the sending address and its verification state are easier to follow.

Describe an Automation, Review It, Then Apply

Describe the automation you want in plain language and Postsale drafts it, showing exactly what would change before anything is saved.

Building an automation no longer starts from an empty editor. Describe what you want to happen in your own words and Postsale drafts the workflow for you. Nothing is saved until you have seen it.

  • Draft from a description, say what should happen and Postsale proposes the triggers and actions to match.
  • Review the exact change first, a preview shows what the draft would add, remove or alter in your workflow before you accept it.
  • Edit anything before applying, the draft opens in the normal workflow editor, so you can adjust it or throw it away.

Custom automations are available on Expand and above.

AI Auto-Mapping for CSV Imports

Postsale now generates the CSV-to-order field mapping for you using AI, on top of a redesigned mapping flow that's faster on large files.

Mapping CSV columns to Postsale order fields no longer has to start from scratch. Drop in a CSV and Postsale proposes an initial mapping for you using AI, then drops you into a redesigned mapping screen where you can review and adjust before importing.

  • AI auto-mapping, point Postsale at a CSV and it suggests which columns map to which order fields, ready to review.
  • Redesigned mapping screen, fields, sources and previews sit on one screen with dialogs that shrink to fit when no form is open.
  • Same flow for webhook imports, the restructured mapping UI also powers JSON webhook order imports on the Soar plan.
  • Faster on large files, mapping a multi-thousand-row CSV no longer pauses the UI.

Webhook subscriptions let your own systems receive Postsale events as they happen. Subscribe to the events you care about and Postsale delivers signed JSON payloads to your endpoint.

  • Real-time delivery, events are pushed as they occur, no polling needed.
  • Managed from settings, create endpoints, choose events to subscribe to and rotate secrets without leaving Postsale.

The Shipping Rules Editor gives you full control over how orders are processed, without writing code. Build complex shipping logic visually using conditions, actions and nested groups, then test your rules against real order data before they go live.

  • Visual Rule Builder. Drag-and-drop conditions and actions into logical groups. Supports AND/OR logic with nested sub-groups up to three levels deep.
  • Conflict Detection. The editor automatically identifies contradictions, overrides and rule shadowing before you save. Warning badges surface issues so you can resolve them in context.
  • Live Test Panel. Evaluate rules against real order data. See which conditions matched, which actions would fire and how charges and notes are applied before you activate a rule.
  • Scoped Conditions. Rules can target specific stores, carriers, services, destinations, package values, weights and more. Quantifier support lets you apply conditions at the item or order level.

The onboarding experience has been rebuilt to get new merchants shipping faster. The setup wizard now includes email verification, clearer store connection steps and smarter defaults.

  • Email Verification. New accounts are prompted to verify their email during setup, improving account security from the start.

Ship USPS First-Class letters and flats with a dedicated package UI for envelope dimensions.

Postsale now supports USPS First-Class letter and flat package types, making it easy to ship documents, cards and other flat items at the lowest USPS rates.

Fix

eBay Connection Reliability

Fixed an issue where eBay authorization could fail silently during the store connection flow.

Resolved an edge case where special characters in eBay's OAuth redirect could silently truncate the authorization token, preventing some merchants from completing the connection flow.

  • Root Cause. A URL-encoding issue with eBay's redirect format caused the auth code to be cut short before reaching our server.
  • Result. eBay store connections now complete reliably on the first attempt.

Order addresses are now validated against country-specific formatting rules before shipping, catching issues early.

Address fields are now validated based on the destination country's formatting requirements. Issues like overly long address lines or missing required fields are flagged before you attempt to create a label.

  • Country-Specific Rules. Each country has its own set of required fields and formatting constraints. Validation runs automatically as you enter address data.
  • Inline Error Display. Validation errors appear inline on the address form, showing exactly which field needs attention.
  • Fewer Carrier Rejections. Required fields (like state for US addresses) are enforced before label creation, reducing failed label attempts.

Connect a USB shipping scale to Postsale and auto-fill package weights directly from your scale.

Postsale now supports USB shipping scales for hands-free weight entry. Place a package on your scale and the weight is populated directly into the shipment's weight field.

  • Auto-Fill Weight. Weight is read from the scale and inserted into the active shipment's weight field. Supports both pounds and kilograms.
  • Scale Button. A scale icon appears on the weight text field. Click to read the current weight.
  • Auto-Reconnect. If the scale disconnects, Postsale reconnects automatically in the background.

Template Editor Improvements

A redesigned template editor with Liquid syntax support, dark mode, hover previews and folder organization.

The template editor for packing slips, invoices and email notifications has been significantly upgraded. Edit templates with real-time syntax feedback and visual previews.

  • Liquid Syntax Support. The editor now understands Liquid template syntax, with inline linting and warnings for unknown filters or bad formatting.
  • Code Suggestions. Auto-completions for Liquid filters, variables and template properties. Hover over any property to see its type.
  • Dark Mode. The editor supports dark mode for comfortable editing during long sessions.
  • Folder Organization. Templates can be organized into folders. Drag-and-drop to move templates between folders.
  • PDF Preview. Preview templates as rendered PDFs directly in the editor. HTML rendering is used for faster iteration.
  • Dimensions & Margins. Template dimensions (page size, margins) are now configurable from the editor UI.

A redesigned dashboard with configurable widgets, shipment status charts and quick-glance order counts.

The dashboard has been rebuilt with customizable widgets so you can see the metrics that matter most to your operation at a glance.

  • Shipment Status Widget. A visual breakdown of shipments by tracking status. Optionally exclude "Carrier Awaiting Pickup" from the chart to focus on in-transit and delivered shipments.
  • Chart Settings. Dashboard chart configuration has moved to a more accessible position above the chart.
  • Shipment Count. Total shipment counts are displayed below the chart title for quick reference.
  • Mobile Layout. The dashboard footer and widget layout adapt for smaller screens.

  • Auto-Map from History. When importing a new file, Postsale pulls field mappings from your previous imports so you don't have to remap columns every time.

Major performance improvements to the order grid, plus new columns, pinnable checkboxes and sticky scrolling.

The order and shipment grids have been significantly optimized for speed and usability, especially for merchants managing large order volumes.

  • Faster Loading. Shipments load in the background and use smart caching, reducing wait times when working with large order lists.
  • Sticky Horizontal Scroll. Column headers stay visible as you scroll horizontally through shipment data.
  • Pinnable Checkboxes. Pin the checkbox column to the left or right side of the grid via a new setting.
  • New Columns. Store, tracking status and order payment fields are now available as grid columns.
  • Select All. The select-all checkbox now works correctly across paginated results.
  • Context Menu. Right-click any order row for quick actions like status changes, printing and voiding.

Faster Rate Lookups

Rate lookups are now cached intelligently, so repeat shipments to the same destination return rates instantly.

Rate lookups now use intelligent caching based on destination, package dimensions, weight and service type. If you're shipping similar packages to the same area, rates load instantly instead of re-querying carriers each time.

  • Instant Repeat Rates. Shipments with the same destination and package profile return cached rates immediately, making batch operations noticeably faster.
  • Always Current. Rates are automatically refreshed when shipment details change, ensuring you always see accurate pricing.

Order statuses are now fully customizable. Create your own statuses, assign them from the grid and use them in filters and automations.

  • Custom Status Management. Create, rename, sort and delete custom order statuses. Confirmation dialogs prevent accidental deletion.
  • Grid Inline Editing. Edit order status directly from the grid using a new autocomplete dropdown. Status changes are reflected immediately.

Postsale now supports creating return shipping labels directly from any order. Generate a return label, choose the carrier and service, then track the return alongside the original shipment.

  • Return Tracking. Return shipments appear in the tracking dialog alongside the original outbound label, so you can monitor both directions.
