Sample conversation. You ask: "Which orders still need to ship today? Find the cheapest label for each, unless the customer asked for a carrier." The assistant uses Postsale to search orders and get rates, then answers: 6 orders are waiting, #4501 to #4506. Cheapest rate for each, and the carrier the customer asked for where they did: #4501 Sarah Chen, Springfield, IL: USPS Ground Advantage, $6.40. #4502 Dale Pruitt, Knoxville, TN: USPS Ground Advantage, $5.90. #4503 Rosa Delgado, El Paso, TX: USPS Ground Advantage, $8.17. #4504 Kevin Tran, Seattle, WA: UPS Ground, $28.84. #4505 Beth Ann Riley, Montpelier, VT: UPS Ground, $29.83. #4506 Tom Okafor, Toronto, ON: FedEx International Ground, $31.40. Total $110.54. Which ones should I buy?

A sample conversation: Claude searches your orders and gets rates for six of them.Sample data

Questions

About MCP Connector and Postsale.

What is MCP?

MCP is the connection that lets your AI assistant work inside Postsale. Once you sign in, you can ask it to make shipping labels, look up orders, track packages and pull your shipping numbers without switching tools. You stay in control, and you can disconnect anytime by removing the connector from your AI assistant.

Which AI platforms work with this?

It works with any assistant that supports MCP connectors, including ChatGPT and Claude. Because it's built on MCP, you can switch assistants anytime.

Is my data secure?

Yes. You connect by signing in, so there are no keys to copy. Access is limited to your Postsale account, and you can disconnect anytime by removing the connector from your AI assistant. Postsale does not use your shipping data to train AI models. What your AI assistant keeps from your conversations follows its own data settings.

Does this require a specific plan?

No. The AI connection is on every Postsale plan, from the first day of your 14-day free trial, with no add-on fee.

Can the AI actually create shipping labels?

Yes. With the Create Label tool, the AI can do the whole job in one request: find the order, compare carrier rates, choose a service the way you ask (the cheapest or the fastest), buy the label and return the tracking number.

Can I use it in my own agents?

Yes. Connect any MCP-compatible client to Postsale's MCP server to call the 37 shipping tools from your agent. MCP server: https://mcp.postsale.com/mcp. Compatible clients include the Anthropic SDK, LangChain, Spring AI and other MCP clients.

How is this different from the Postsale CLI?

MCP puts Postsale inside the chat assistant you already use, with nothing to install. The Postsale CLI is a program for your terminal, your scripts and agents you run yourself. It gives structured output and has its own safety rules for anything that costs money. It's the same account with the same carriers. Use whichever fits the job, or both.
