  • Accessed by the Advanced Search button in the search bar. Lets you set more detailed search criteria than what you can type into the search bar. You can search specific Postsale fields, use operators like equals or not equals, and enter precise search values.

  • archive

    * (verb) To move orders into the Postsale archive. * (noun) An area in Postsale that holds orders that no longer show in the orders grid but may need to be referenced in the future.

  • automation

    Automations are created to streamline the shipping workflow by telling Postsale to perform certain tasks when specific events occur. For example, an automation could be set up to send an email to customers to let them know their package is out for delivery.

  • carrier

    A company or organization that provides transportation services for goods and packages from one location to another.

  • condition

    Defines under what exact circumstances an Automation should be performed.

  • CSV file

  • rate

    Used to quickly view and select from all available carrier/service options and rates for a shipment. Carrier/Service options are grouped by Fastest, Economical, and User Selected. The Carrier /Service options available are based upon the shipment’s current configuration (weight, packaging, dimensions).

    Additional lines of text, such as a thank you message or an order number, added to the printed shipping label.

  • requested shipping

    The shipping method requested by your customer when the order was placed. The requested shipping method may be an actual carrier and service, like ‘USPS Priority Mail’, or a status defined by you, such as ‘Expedited’ or ‘Most Economical’.

  • Used to enter search terms to narrow down the orders displayed in the orders grid. The search bar is located at the top of the orders grid.

  • service

    The specific delivery method/option used to ship a package. Services are specific to the carrier selected. Examples: USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class Mail, UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, etc.

  • shipment

    A collection of goods or items that are transported together from one location to another. In Postsale, a ‘shipment’ may also refer to the shipment record associated with an order. The shipment record contains the actual details of the shipment, such as the carrier and service used, packaging, weight, dimensions, and so on.

  • Shipment Grid

    The main display of shipments in the Dock used to view, select, and configure shipments.

  • shipment protection

    A service offered by shipping carriers or third-party providers such as Shipsurance to protect goods and shipments against loss, damage, or theft during transit. It provides financial coverage and compensation for the value of the goods in case of unforeseen events or accidents that may occur while the shipment is in transit or in the carrier's possession.
