Setup

Set up USB Scales in three steps.

  1. Step 1

    Plug In Your Scale

    Plug your USB scale into your computer. The scale must support HID (Human Interface Device). Most postage scales do.

  2. Step 2

    Click the Scale Icon

    In the Dock's Package section, click the scale icon next to the weight field. Your browser asks you to pick the connected scale.

  3. Step 3

    Import the Weight

    Place your package on the scale and the weight shows as it settles. Click the scale icon again to bring it into the shipment.

What scales are compatible?

Any USB scale that supports HID (Human Interface Device). Most postage and shipping scales do. Bluetooth scales are not currently supported.

What browser do I need?

We recommend Chrome, which has the fullest support for reading a USB scale in the browser.

Can I use a scale on mobile?

USB scale support requires a desktop or laptop computer with a USB port. It is not available on mobile devices.

Do I need a specific Postsale plan?

No. USB scale support is available on all Postsale plans.
