Ground Advantage vs Priority Mail vs Priority Mail Express.
The same sample box, rated three ways. Postsale shows every rate before you buy, so you pick the speed you need.
Source for delivery estimates: USPS, Mail & Shipping Services (usps.com), checked October 20, 2026. They are USPS’s published ranges, not a promise from Postsale. Sample rates are for one sample order (#4501). Your rates depend on your account and package.
Cubic pricing
USPS cubic pricing when it’s lower.
Priority Mail boxes up to 0.5 cubic feet and Ground Advantage boxes up to 1 cubic foot can get cubic pricing, at 20 lbs or less with a longest side of 22" or less. Postsale uses the cubic rate when it’s lower.
- Enter the box size once, or let a shipping rule fill it in.
- Priority Mail and Ground Advantage packages qualify.
- Nothing to work out by hand.

End of day
SCAN forms, pickups and USPS returns.
Make one SCAN form for the day’s USPS shipments, so one scan accepts the whole batch at pickup.
- Schedule a pickup from Postsale instead of a trip to the post office.
- Return labels you pay for only when they’re used.
- Mark hazardous materials on Ground Advantage, Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express within the U.S.

Shipsurance
Cover a package for $0.75 per $100.
Shipsurance is built in on every plan: $0.75 per $100 of value domestic and $1.25 per $100 international, up to 78% less than carrier declared value.
- Tick Shipment Protection on the shipment.
- You pay only for the shipments you cover.
- Start a claim right from the shipment.

USPS shipping software FAQ.
Do I need my own USPS account?
No. Print discounted USPS labels right away with Postsale’s built-in USPS option, or connect your own USPS account if you have one. FedEx and UPS use your own accounts and negotiated rates.
How does cubic pricing work?
Cubic pricing is based on your box’s size (L x W x H / 1728) instead of its weight. Priority Mail boxes up to 0.5 cubic feet and Ground Advantage boxes up to 1 cubic foot qualify, at 20 lbs or less with a longest side of 22" or less. Postsale works out the cubic rate and uses it when it’s lower.
What is a SCAN form?
A SCAN form is a single barcode that covers all your USPS shipments for the day. Instead of scanning each package individually, your carrier scans one form to accept the entire batch.
Do pay-on-use return labels expire?
You’re charged only when the customer drops the package off with USPS. Unused return labels cost nothing.
Can I ship hazardous materials with USPS?
Yes, within the U.S. on Ground Advantage, Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express. Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express go by air. Flammable liquids and other materials USPS bars from air can only go Ground Advantage. Tick Contains Hazardous Materials on the shipment and choose the type. USPS rules for that material still apply, including how you pack and mark the package.
Do I pay a fee for every label?
No. Your plan is one monthly price, with no per-label software fees. Each label costs only its postage, at your discounted USPS rates or your own FedEx and UPS rates.
Can I compare USPS with FedEx and UPS?
Yes. Connect your own FedEx and UPS accounts and their rates show beside USPS for the same box. Choose Economical and Postsale picks the lowest.
Can I print on the printer I have?
Yes, on a 4×6 thermal label printer or the inkjet or laser printer you already have.
Where can I see every USPS service and setting?
The USPS integration page lists every domestic and international service, the packaging types and how to connect your own USPS account.
