Add an Amazon Store

Connect to and import orders from Amazon.

Updated October 20, 20261 min readImport and add orders

Connect your Amazon seller account, and the orders you ship yourself will appear in the same list as your other stores. When you create the label, the tracking goes back to Amazon, and the order is confirmed as shipped.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

We have an Amazon Seller Central account and would like to connect Postsale so that we can import our orders and manage our shipping and post-purchase tasks. We would like to import orders that have already been placed and have any newly placed orders automatically import into Postsale.

You can do that! In addition, when you create a shipping label in Postsale, the shipment information is sent back to Amazon, and the order status is automatically updated.

This article will walk you through connecting your Amazon store to Postsale.

Before We Begin

  • Be sure that you are logged in to Postsale as the account owner. Only account owners can add an Amazon store to Postsale.

Connect Amazon to Postsale

  1. Go to Settings.

The Postsale Settings icon is shown.
  2. Select Store Settings.

Store Settings is selected in the list of settings.
  1. Select Amazon.

    The Amazon tile is shown.
  2. Review how Postsale collects, uses, and shares the Amazon data accessed through the Selling Partner API. When you're ready, click Next to connect your account.

The Amazon data notice is shown. The Next button is being clicked.
  3. Choose your Amazon marketplace, then select Connect Amazon. You'll be redirected to Amazon Seller Central to grant access.

United States is selected as the Marketplace. The Connect Amazon button is being clicked.

Once you are successfully connected to Amazon, you'll be returned to Postsale to continue the setup.

  4. (Optional) Import recent orders into Postsale, in addition to any newly placed orders, by selecting the Import Existing Orders option and choosing how many days of order history (up to 7 days) to import. Then, click Next.

Import Existing Orders is shown and 7 days is selected.
  5. Confirm that you want Postsale to perform the following actions automatically. Then, click Next.

    • When an order is first imported
      • Set the order's status to [select the status from the drop-down menu]
        • Enable this option to specify what the local status of the order should be set to when orders are imported for the first time. With this option disabled, the order's local status will be blank when imported.
    • When a shipment is processed
      • Set the order's status to 'Shipped'
      • Upload the shipment information to Amazon
    • When a shipment is voided
      • Set the order's status to 'Voided'

  1. Enter the store name in the Store Name field.

Amazon Fern and Field Goods is entered as the Store Name.
  1. (Optional) Click the Logo tile. Then, select an image file (JPEG or PNG) from your computer.

    • Postsale supports JPEG and PNG files with a recommended size of 3 MB or less.

    • The image will be uploaded and become the logo for this store.
